Evans Tempcon began as the Heating and Ventilation division of Evans Products Company in Detroit Michigan in 1936, when Col. E. S. Evans purchased the Automotive Heating and Ventilation Division of the Lintern Corporation.

The "Evanair-Conditioner" was a pioneering breakthrough in fresh air heating and ventilation systems in the early automotive industry and these same principles are still in use today.

Evans expanded beyond the automotive industry and in 1939 developed the first thermostatically controlled heating and ventilation system for buses, soon supplying every school bus in the U.S. with an Evans heating system.

In the early 70's, Evans added a Fin and Tube heat exchanger manufacturing line and expanded its sheet metal fabrication capabilities to begin supplying parts to the heavy truck and motor home market.

In the 90's, Evans broadened its product offering and began supplying the compact construction equipment market as well.

Today Evans Tempcon offers a complete line of HVAC Systems and Components for the Motor Home, Construction, Agriculture, Military and Specialty Vehicle industries.

Our in-house design, vertical manufacturing and full-sized vehicle test facilities allows our team to meet even the most challenging HVAC applications.
